European network for occupational safety and health experts (EUROSHNET)

EUROSHNET is an international network of occupational safety and health experts involved in standardization, testing and certification. It was created against the backdrop of growing internationalization of standardization on the one hand and diminishing resources of the OSH lobby on the other. The network is intended to facilitate contact between OSH experts, to promote discussion of issues of common interest, and to disseminate information relevant to occupational safety and health.

In order to promote networking among OSH expert in Europe at a personal level, EUROSHNET organizes a European conference on a regular basis. The conferences are attended not only by experts from the accident insurance and OSH institutions, but by all parties involved in occupational safety and health: manufacturers and users of work equipment, testing and certification bodies, representatives of the European Commission and national authorities, standards institutes, and the social partners.

EUROSHNET is a joint project of KAN and CIOP-PIB (Poland), DGUV (Germany), EUROGIP (France), FIOH (Finland), INRS (France) and INSST (Spain).

9th EUROSHNET Conference 2026

The 9th European conference on standardization, testing and certification in the field of occupational safety and health will be held in Helsinki (Finland) on 27-28 May 2026 under the heading Digital and green innovations – Shaping the future of occupational safety and health

The world of work is transforming at an unprecedented pace. Climate change poses significant challenges for workplace safety, while digital transformation creates new opportunities for innovative solutions. Both developments also require reshaping our approach to occupational safety and health.

At the 9th EUROSHNET Conference, experts from across Europe are coming together to explore how standardization, testing and certification can evolve to meet these emerging realities. Sustainable products and new requirements are needed in order to mitigate the effects of climate change and implement a circular economy whilst at the same time ensuring the protection of workers.

Digital transformation takes center stage with discussions on artificial intelligence applications in workplace safety, smart PPE and safe use of driverless vehicles. We will also discuss standards for tomorrow, next-generation testing and certification approaches, regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies, and best practices from across Europe.

Join the conference to hear from experts how standardization, testing and certification should respond to these fundamental changes and challenges from an OSH perspective and use this opportunity to network with colleagues from across Europe.
