The purpose of the European representation's work is to establish KAN as a brand at EU level. The broad expertise of the stakeholders represented in KAN is a unique selling point and generates added value, not least at EU level.
The tasks of KAN's European representation include:
- Maintaining and expanding KAN's networking activities in Europe
- Monitoring and reporting on developments at the EU institutions and other relevant institutions
- Stakeholder mapping
- Development of a strategy for representing interests vis-à-vis the EU institutions
- Raising of awareness for occupational safety and health concerns among EU decision-makers so that – ideally – the information and expertise provided by KAN is used to highlight possible shortcomings and to make proposals for improvement
