In preparation for this, a public consultation was held the results of which were made available in October 2019.
Several reform approaches have now been described in an options paper (status: April 2020), including scenarios impacting directly upon the role of the European standards organisation CEN. Stakeholders are invited to submit feedback on the various options to the European Commission by 31 August 2020 using an online form.
