Since the coronavirus pandemic is preventing meetings of standards committees from being held as planned, CEN is allowing the committees more time to produce draft standards for the public enquiry and formal voting stages.
Following a decision by the Technical Board, the scheduled deadlines may be exceeded by up to 12 weeks (3 months) without the standardization project being cancelled. The ruling applies initially until September.
