EU regulation governing AI systems

The legislative process for an EU regulation on artificial intelligence (AI) is currently in progress. With a regulation laying down harmonised rules applicable throughout the EU, the European Commission aims to ensure the safety and fundamental rights of EU citizens and businesses whilst at the same time unlocking the potential of AI for industrial applications.

In response to the Commission proposal for a regulation laying down harmonised rules for AI, KAN has formulated a number of comments (addressing the legal framework and the requirements for high-risk AI systems, in particular) and presented them to the legislative process.
