European Commission decision setting up a high-level expert group on standardization

The European Commission has adopted a decision setting up the "High-Level Forum on European Standardisation" in the framework of the EU Strategy on Standardisation.

The Forum's tasks include advising the European Commission on matters related to European standardization policy, supporting the identification and implementation of standardization needs in support of a green, digital, fair and resilient Single Market, and coordinating effective representation of European interests in international standardization organizations and fora.

The Forum will be composed of up to 60 members including European standardization organizations, organizations representing industry or trade associations, and organizations representing small and medium-sized enterprises and societal stakeholders such as consumers, workers and environmental interests, and authorities of the Member States.
