DIN offers two databases on its website for researching standardised terminology: the registration-free DIN-TERM online and the DIN-TERMinology portal, which requires registration and offers more detailed information and advanced search facilities.

Around 750,000 definitions of terms in German, English, French and Polish from standards, draft standards and specifications help with the correct choice of words for a given context. The nomenclature is constantly updated.
