The newly released CEN CENELEC report “Lessons Learned During the COVID-19 Pandemic” takes stock of the insights and experience gathered during the pandemic regarding standardization.

The conclusion is that in times of crisis, standards build trust. They are a readily available and a valuable resource for quick and reliable solutions.

The report is based largely on the work done by the CEN and CENELEC COVID-19 Crisis Management Network (CMN) established in March 2020. Through the CMN, CEN and CENELEC members not only managed to coordinate their crisis management activities: the network also provided a platform to exchange best practices swiftly and efficiently.
