CEN/CENELEC position paper on the NLF

CEN (the European Committee for Standardization) and CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) have published a position paper on the future of the New Legislative Framework (NLF).

According to the position paper, a challenge for the future of the NLF may lie in the assessment of product conformity for products that are updated after being put on the market, e.g. by means of software upgrades to improve functionality. A renewed NLF should therefore define clear roles and responsibilities for addressing product conformity in such cases.
