The GESTIS Biological Agents Database, the hazardous substances information system of the German Social Accident Insurance, presents itself in a new design. The handling has become easier and clearer. In addition, the system now recognizes whether a desktop or mobile device is being used and automatically adjusts its display accordingly.

The Biological Agents Database contains information for the safe handling of biological agents at the workplace and provides information on important properties of the individual biological agents. Information on about 19,500 biological agents is listed.
