Second meeting of the European working group

Once again, off we go: knights and knaves, ladies and other nobles, monks, blacksmiths, traders and peasants journey to Castle CEN. Progress is being made, everyone has agreed on a particular type of knight's helmet, and detailed descriptions of vents and visor joints are being thrashed out.

Once a draft standard has been discussed at national level, it must also be discussed at European level. Different European countries often have very different views of how things should be governed in standards. Before a standard is completed, the European working group holds numerous meetings. The higher-level technical committee votes on the working draft, but generally makes few amendments, if any.
