Armed with the information from the meeting of the mirror committee, the OSH knights and their fellow wayfarers set off for the European Standards Table. At Castle CEN, the various parties first test their strength. The KANelot ladies and knights must be careful to present the consensus reached at Fort DIN.
In the mirror committee, delegates were appointed to present the national position in the European technical committee (TC). The TC is made up of delegates from the various national standards institutes in Europe. In the discus-sions in the European committee, the delegates must adhere to the national opinion agreed in their own mirror committee. In order for a national delegation to achieve a successful result on the TC, it must be given sufficient room for negotiation.
