The European AI Office and its planned staff of 140 have the task of supporting implementation of the recently adopted AI Regulation, and promoting the development and use of trustworthy AI and also international cooperation in this area. The Office is part of the European Commission’s Directorate‑General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology and works in close cooperation with the Member States and with AI experts in the research community, industry and wider society.
