The European Commission has published an initiative for a "comprehensive approach to mental health".

The initiative is to promote mental health by means of a comprehensive, prevention-oriented approach and to address the numerous political, socio-economic and environmental factors influencing it.

The initiative is to demonstrate the following:

  • How measures taken at EU level can help to promote mental health and prevent, contain and address problems associated with mental illness.
  • How mental health issues should be integrated into a range of sound European and national policies for the benefit of people in the EU.

Visit this link to register for the consultation, which runs until 15 February 2023. Participation by the OSH community and interested stakeholders is particularly welcomed.

This initiative is a follow-up to the Conference on the Future of Europe.
