Responsible standards committee at DIN

Knights and ladies both from the provinces surrounding KANelot and from distant lands wish to get in-volved in planning the standardized knight's helmet. A suitable chamber must now also be found at Fort DIN in which the work can take place.

Standards committees exist for numerous different topics. Experts meet in a committee to discuss standards, for example for special machines, and also for services. All stakeholders in a standardization topic [see Space 8] should be represented on a standards committee. The occupational safety and health lobby may be a stakeholder. The standards committee should reach its decisions by consensus; only in exceptional cases should decisions be put to a vote. For a new standardization project, DIN first examines whether the project can be assigned to an existing standards committee. Should no suitable committee exist, DIN may found a new committee. Alternatively, it may set up a project committee that is dissolved again once the standard has been com-pleted.
