CEN/CENELEC webinar on consideration of occupational safety and health in standards

Occupational health and safety (OHS) is relevant to everyone's daily working life, but also to some areas of standardisation. What is the legal framework of OHS in the EU? How can standards improve OHS, and how can inclusion of OHS requirements improve standards? How do you address OHS correctly in your standardisation work, and when should you not include it? It is important for standards developers to know how to deal with OHS aspects in standards, since problems may arise for users of standards if OHS is not dealt with properly.  The webinar will include a short summary of the new guidance document written by CEN-CLC/SAG OHS for the use of standardisation in the area of OHS outside the area of product safety, and some key recommendations based on the document. There will also be time for questions and answers.

The webinar is organised by the Strategic Advisory Group on Occupational Health and Safety (SAG OHS) of CEN/CENELEC BT. Dr Monika Maintz, Chair of SAG OHS and Head of the KAN Secretariat, will host the event.
