Opportunity to provide feedback on the new Standardisation Regulation

On 12 October, the European Commission opened the opportunity to submit comments on the proposal for a new standardisation regulation via its ‘Have-your-say’ portal.

The aim of the proposed regulation, published on 6 October, is to speed up the development of harmonised standards, to make the European standardisation system more flexible, and to adapt it better to technological innovations and shorter product cycles.

Comments may be submitted within eight weeks. As not all language versions of the proposed regulation are currently available, the deadline will be extended to reflect the duration of the delay. KAN intends to submit a comment on the proposed regulation.
