This declaration provides you with information regarding the security of your personal data when you access this site, the website of the Commission for Occupational Health and Safety and Standardization (KAN). 
We take the security of your data very seriously. We wish you to know what data we record, when, and how these data are used.

Access to the web pages, ordering of information material and sending of messages

You can access our online information anonymously, i.e. without revealing your identity.

Should you order information material, you will be asked to provide your name and other personal information. We require this information in order to process your order. The decision to provide this information is yours. When you send us an e-mail or completed contact form, we use your message and your e-mail address solely for corresponding with you.

The information you provide is stored on particularly secure servers in Germany. It is accessible only to a small number of persons with special authorization who have the task of maintaining the servers.

Newsletters

Should you wish to subscribe to the KANMAIL newsletter offered on the website at www.kan.de, we require an e-mail address from you. No other data are collected. You may revoke your consent to our storing your e-mail address (in the Double Opt In procedure) and to its use for sending the newsletter at any time.

Communication of personal data to third parties

As a rule, we use your personal information only within the Commission for OH&S and Standardization (KAN). We do not pass your data on to third parties without your explicit consent.

We shall pass your data to bodies who are authorized to have access to it in cases where we are obliged to do so by statutory provisions or in response to a court order. We cannot accept any liability for abuse by third parties.

Web statistics

This website uses Piwik, an open-source software application for statistical evaluation of access by users. Piwik uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer and permit analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie on your use of this Internet resource is stored on our own server in Germany. The IP address is anonymized as soon as the information has been processed, and before it is stored.
