Searches for standards

Have other knights or concerned ladies already had ideas about a standardized helmet for knights? Could use perhaps be made of existing knowledge, or will the knights and ladies have to start from scratch? With the help of the monks, they look for information in the archives.

Before application is made to the national standards institute (DIN in the case of Germany) for a new work item (standardization project), a search should be conducted to establish whether a comparable national standard or other document already exists that could serve as a basis. If the groundwork has already been done, the process can be shortened considerably. Unlike the OSH knights of KANelot, we no longer have to heave piles of parchments in dark monastery libraries in order to search for such documents. The national and European standards organizations offer facilities for conducting searches.
