TBT Enquiry Point Germany at DIN

Öffnet die Detailseite TBT-Auskunftsstelle bei DIN © DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V.

Companies and organizations exporting goods or offering their services abroad must observe the regulations in the countries concerned, since despite the numerous standards and agreements in force at international level, major differences still exist between many countries' technical standards and import regulations.

Where companies have questions concerning import regulations, laws, standards and technical codes, conformity assessment and certification procedures in the country of destination, or the mutual recognition of regulations, they can address them to the TBT Enquiry Point Germany. The WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT Agreement) obliges all signatory states to set up such an enquiry point. Together with its sub-contractors DAkkS, the German accreditation body, and DIN Software GmbH, DIN has maintained the TBT Enquiry Point Germany on behalf of the German federal government since 2009.
